The Border at the Taos Pueblo

The Taos Pueblo located in Taos, New Mexico, is the home of the Taos Native American Indians. It is very special place were a dedicated group of people spend their life preserving their heritage that goes back nearly 1000 years. The fence in this photo represents the border that separates the Taos Pueblo (seen on the left) from the United States (seen on the right). I shot this photograph approximately 15 to 20 minutes after the sun had set. Several of my most valuable pieces of photo equipment are my tripod and shutter release cable which allows me to take long time exposures without a trace of camera vibration. It was just what I needed to capture this very colorful and symbolic image.
